Ishtar/Easter - RESEARCH ( further to the many enquiries, I hope these references will guide you all into a deeper research of what we were led to believe. - It's a very long study you are looking at - There's much more, but I will leave it to you -

The caution is - NOT TO just read data from the christian box to get the untainted historical facts. Be careful, as you will attract a lot of flack from 'diehard- christians' who refuse to investigate, and you will get flak from the Orthodox Jews who believe in the Talmud - and those who will regardless refuse to accept any light on the subject.

Study and explore the relationship between Easter and the goddess Ishtar, and why the jesus/mary ritual and THE CELEBRATION OF THE EASTER HOLIDAY IS An ABOMINATION TO ALMIGHTY YAHWEH GOD.

“And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternons of soldiers to keep him, intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.”
If this was the correct “Passover” or Pasach” it would not have fallen on what we know as Friday, but also it would have been the beginning of an 8 day holy season.

When trying to explain to people that the Easter worship is in fact the worship of the pagan goddess Ishtar, their immediate reply is that they are worshipping Jesus, and sure enough - you are worshipping the pagan deity, all that has happened is a name from Ishtah/Osoris/Attis/Adonis/Tammuz etc was change to jesus - This is a very clever deception of Satan's tricks to gain world confusion and ultimately world to worship him as god.

Easter worship is indeed the worship of the goddess Ishtar, and the worship of TAMMUZ changed to Jesus Christ/with mary.

The facts are - Scripture does not tell us to worship the death and resurrection of deity called Christ, what Easter is supposedly all about. Therefore, THE EASTER WORSHIP IS A TRADITION OF MEN.

Since King Solomon started worshipping the pagan deities of his 700 wives, Israel and Judah split, and both kingdoms continued to follow the pagan practice, in particular, the 10 northern tribes of Israel under King Jereboam. -

This is a 'hand-me-down' worship to honor the pagan easter (Ashtoroth) in honor of Ishtah on the spring equinox,
The Pagans observed their holy day in spring of what is known as the western calendar and the seventh month of the Jewish calendar - The 7th month Tishri.
When the correct day for Passover was always to be kept on the 15th of Nissen, measured from the New Moon. (March/April in the Gregorian Catholic Calendar) AT the New Testament jewish last supper mentioned in the NT, it is obvious they were honoring the counterfeit FALSE 'Jereboam' passover day in the month of Tishri. NOT the 15th day of Nissen - "Mat 26:17 Now on the first day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?” The correct passover would have been PRIOR to the begining of the "Feast of Unleaven Bread".(NOT AFTER)

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is celebrated the first and second days of Tishri - Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is the most solemn day of the Jewish year and is observed on the tenth day of Tishri. - Sukkot. Sukkoth begins on the 15th day of Tishri, -
This Year (2010), YomKippur was Frid-Sat 17-18th Sept - and Sukkot (Tabernacles) was Thurs 23rd Sept.

The Jewish calendar is primarily lunar, with each month beginning on the new moon, when the first sliver of moon becomes visible after the dark of the moon. In ancient times, the new months used to be determined by observation. When people observed the new moon, they would notify the Sanhedrin. When the Sanhedrin heard testimony from two independent, reliable eyewitnesses that the new moon occurred on a certain date, they would declare the rosh chodesh (first of the month) and send out messengers to tell people when the month began. This years NEW Year Roshashana was Thurs 9th Sept.
LUNAR MONTHS IN SOLAR YEARS

The problem with strictly lunar calendars is that there are approximately 12.4 lunar months in every solar year, so a 12-month lunar calendar loses about 11 days every year and a 13-month lunar gains about 19 days every year. The months on such a calendar "drift" relative to the solar year. On a 12 month calendar, the month of Nissan, which is supposed to occur in the Spring, occurs 11 days earlier each year, eventually occurring in the Winter, the Fall, the Summer, and then the Spring again. To compensate for this drift, an extra month was occasionally added: a second month of Adar. The month of Nissan would occur 11 days earlier for two or three years, and then would jump forward 29 or 30 days, balancing out the drift.

In the fourth century, Hillel II established a fixed calendar based on mathematical and astronomical calculations. This calendar, still in use, standardized the length of months and the addition of months over the course of a 19 year cycle, so that the lunar calendar realigns with the solar years. Adar II is added in the 3rd, 6th, 8th, 11th, 14th, 17th and 19th years of the cycle. The current cycle began in Jewish year 5758 (the year that began October 2, 1997). (This is now 5770/5771)

The Easter worship is a tradition of man dating back 4000 years, and its origin comes from the worship of the pagan goddess simaramus - Ishtar. God tells us over and over throughout the Scriptures to leave behind those traditions of men.

"What is Ishtar all about?". The stories and myths about her, what was involved in the worship of her, and what that worship signified. The following passage is an excerpt from "The Encyclopedia of Religion, Vol. 7: "Inanna, the Sumerian (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inanna) astral deity representing the planet Venus, was known throughout the Mesopotamian world; the Akkadians (and later the Assyro-Babylonians) called her Ishtar. For both the Sumerians and the Akkadians, she was the principal goddess in their respective pantheons. Inanna-Ishtar's closest counterparts to the west are the Canaanite Astarte (called Ashtoreth by the Hebrews) and the later goddesses of Greece and Rome, Aphrodite and Venus.

One of the most important myths about Inanna-Ishtar concerns her relationship to the shepherd god Dumuzi-Tammuz, who is a divination of a much earlier ruler of Uruk 3000BC (Erech, the city Enoch of Genesis 4). Jews today have a month named after TAMMUZ. - Although the myth has many variations, its basic outline can be reconstructed from the Sumerian 'Inanna's Descent to the Netherworld,' the Akkadian parallel 'Ishtar's Descent,' and recently translated fragments of the 'Death of Dumuzi,' as well as various laments for Dumuzi and a large set of 'Sacred Marriage' texts.

According to mythology history, Inanna and Dumuzi have a passionate love affair and marriage. Subsequently the goddess wants to visit the underworld ruled by her enemy and sister Ereshkigal, probably to rule there as well as in heaven. After bedecking herself with jewels and finery, Inanna descends and is met at the gate by a servant of Ereshkigal, who at various stages removes her garments. Finally she approaches her sister naked and humiliated. Ereshkigal fastens on her the 'eyes of death,' turns her into a corpse, and hangs her body on a stake. a pre-run of jesus's death.

Inanna's servant, worried after three days of her absence, fashions creatures who descend with revivifying materials. They bring her back to life and she reascends to earth, accompanied by frightened demons who wander with her from city to city in Summer. When she returns to Uruk she finds her lover Dumuzi not bewailing her plight in the underworld, but actually celebrating it. She sets after him the demons, who after a long chase overtake and torture him and drag him down to the underworld. (Jesus goes to hell)

There are many variations of this myth, but its importance lies in the love affair between Dumuzi-Tammuz, who comes to represent the annual dying and regenerated vegetative cycle, (Death and Resurrection Cycle) and Inanna-Ishtar, the embodiment of the generative force in nature. In their intercourse she fecundates the growth cycle of spring. "Why ISRAEL who was dispersed back in 721 BC and Jews to this date have held a MONTH after this Tammuz deity explains the depth of apostasy they have been in for over 3000 years.

This came to be a ritual in an annual ceremony in which the king, representing Dumuzi-Tammuz, entered into a hieros gamos, a sacred marriage, with a sacred temple prostitute, representing Inanna-Ishtar, and thus sympathetically brought regeneration to the land. Their intercourse was, in a sense, the resurrection of the dead god, and lamenting turned into rejoicing. The popularity and geographical spread of this myth and its rituals are referred to in Ezekiel 8:14, where the prophet condemns the practice followed by some Jerusalem women lamenting for Tammuz. You shall utterly detest it and utterly abhor it, for it is an accursed thing." (When the kingdom of ISRAEL HAD BEEN TOTALLY DISPERSED by the hand of Yahweh God AND NO LONGER EXISTED - Ezekiel wrote this approx 560BC ) ISRAEL had been following this false doctrine of Jereboam for about 350 years, and it was continued another 900 years through to 4th century AD see chart Kings time line film below.

Back to Ezekiel for a moment. "He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. The he brought me to the door of the gate of the Lord's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. The said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again and thou shalt see great abominations than these." All through the Old testament texts YAHWEH is condemning this practice of worshipping Ishtar and lamenting for the son god Tammuz, and calls it a great abomination Easter worship is an abomination to God. "when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which YAHWEH your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage."
Notice the resemblance of the story of Ishtar handed down in all 'sunworship' rituals from the time of Jereboam Israel's King, - to that which is written in the BIBLE about the Jesus-

As Ishtar descended, she was stripped and humiliated; Jesus was stripped and beaten in humility.
Ishtar was killed and hung on a stake;
jesus was crucified on a stake.
Ishtar was resurrected after three days; Jesus rose from the tomb on the third day. By now it should be quite obvious to you why Easter is in fact the worship of Ishtar and the pagan son god. (Its a MIX of all mythical deities)

Starting approx 300AD Satan has invented an anointed one anointed one and overlaid it with the worship of Ishtar, bringing it into the church through the traditions of men and presenting it as the celebration of Easter, a transliteration of the word Ishtar. Satan knew the purpose of this earth age and has tried repeatedly to subvert God's plan.

Satan failed in one attempt, so he used his offspring, Cain and the Kenites (the sons of Cain) to propagate many similar false religions and myths that have a resemblance to the truth. In order to create confusion and disbelief so as to deceive God's children. For every positive there is a negative, and Satan is the Great Imitator.

Remember, Satan's whole thrust is to be worshipped as God, and he has in part succeeded in doing so by actually being the 'Anti-christ' every one is looking out for) . In reviewing a few more of the characteristics of Ishtar, not losing sight of the story of Ishtar and what the ritualistic worship of her represented, the resurrection of the dead god. Ishtar was also known as the Queen of Heaven (there is a large denomination that openly prays to the Queen of Heaven). Ishtar was connected to the planet Venus, called both the "morning star" and the "evening star." Ishtar was worshipped as female in the morning and male in the evening. You should also note that in Isaiah 14:12, Lucifer, another name for Satan, is called the son of the morning. The name Lucifer itself means "the morning star." Ishtar is also called the goddess of fertility, from another one of her ancient mythical notorious legends.

As the mythical story is- , an egg fell from heaven one day and landed in the Euphrates river. Some fish managed to roll the egg to shore, hence the tradition of rolling Easter eggs. Israel had no need for eggs prior to 900BC but JEWS today use eggs in their annual reference to Exodus/Pesach, but give it another respectable symbol of 'new-life' when in actual fact it is just a hand-me-down from the pagan BAAL WORSHIP. There's absolutely NO EGGS used in the text or instructed by Yahweh to be used to memorialise this festival in the Torah.

The mythical report: Then several doves (a symbol of the deities Holy Spirit) descended from heaven and incubated the egg and hatched the goddess Ishtar, the goddess of Easter. The egg became the universal symbol for fertility, and as such can be traced to pagan ritual and worship worldwide for thousands of years. Like the egg, the rabbit became part of the Easter tradition because it too was a symbol of fertility in ancient Egypt.
Now look at how this practice of worshipping the goddess Ishtar/Ashtoreth/Astarte was promulgated by the children of Israel by Jereboam.. Take NOTE to the word "groves." The Hebrew word for groves is "Asherah," a form of Ashtoreth/Astarte, pointing right back to Ishtar. "And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against YAHWEH their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city. Yahweh had totally rejected Israel; see Jer 7.
And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom THEIR DEITY carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke YAHWEH to anger: For they served idols, where YAHWEH had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing." (2 Kings 17:9-12) For thousands of years the people in all cultures worshipped these deities on their birthday 25th December. or 6th January Gregorian Calendar.

Using the Strong's Concordance Hebrew dictionary, look at the word for "groves."

Hebrew 842. 'asherah, ash-ay-raw'; or 'asheyrah, ash-ay-raw'; from Heb. 833; happy; Asherah (or Astarte) a Phoenician goddess; also an image of the same:-grove. Comp. Heb. 6253.

Hebrew 6253. 'Ashtoreth, ash-to'-reth; prob. for Heb. 6251; Ashtoreth, the Phoenician goddess of love (and increase):- Ashtoreth. The Asherah was a phallic symbol, shaped in the image of the male organ.

Again, the children of Israel participated in this heathen ritual of worshipping Ishtar, the "grove worship," and wrought wicked things that provoked YAHWEH to anger, after being commanded not to do this thing.

Will our people continue in this abominable practice of worshipping Ishtar/Easter and provoking YAHWEH to anger? Let's look at another instance of this practice among the children of Israel. "But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom YAHWEH destroyed before the children of Israel. And YAHWEH spake by his servants the prophets, saying, Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were before him, and has made Judah also to sin with his idols." (2 Kings 21:9- 11)

What was Manasseh doing ?

From the Reader Digest "Great People of the Bible and How They Lived." "Inside the Jerusalem temple he placed an image of Ishtar, the Assyrian goddess of love and war, associated with the planet Venus. In her name, priest and male worshippers engaged in ritual sex with 'holy' prostitutes housed in the temple, (Today these are replicated as 'NUNS' and replication of the virgins given to the priests in Babylon) a practice that was supposed to promote the fertility of crops, herds and families (akin to the rebirth or resurrection from the dead)." Manasseh brought the worship of Ishtah into the temple, the house of God. The priests performed ritualistic sexual orgies with the temple prostitutes to worship the fertility goddess and promote the symbolic resurrection of the dead god.

Manasseh was not the only king to bring this worship into the temple. King Ahab under the influence of his wife Jezebel also brought the worship of Ishtar into the house of God. "And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of YAHWEH above all that were before him. And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him. And he built an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke YAHWEH God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were before him... But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of YAHWEH , whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom YAHWEH cast out before the children of Israel." (1 Kings 16:30- 33; 21:25-26)

Ahab, through the influence of Jezebel built an altar to Baal and also made groves. Remember the groves were for the worship of Ishtar, from the Hebrew word Asherah/Ashtoreth.

King Ahab suffered that woman Jezebel, his wife, and brought the worship of the goddess Ishtar into the House of God. Do CHRISTIANS suffer that woman Jezebel? Are christians still practicing worship of Easter, whose worship goes back to Ishtar and not to YAHWEH? God has given us His warning. He has given people a chance to repent.

As Elijah said on Mt Carmal after calling all the people together for a 'grand-stand' demonstration and it is to be noted, a population of near five million witnessed that ONLY YAHWEH was the Creator God of all life, the ONLY God to be worshipped - Where do we stand today, with YAHWEH or with Satan's counterfeit worship 'of himself' ? - SATAN always wanted the world to worship him, and through cunning and through stealth and deception, he has achieved that.- Over the 'Dark-ages' to the 15th Century, it was the Monks and Friars who educated the people. In this thousand years the pagan practices emerged into the jesus/mary doctrine.

And over 1700 years It came to the world through the Papacy and the early Monks, Friars, and Jesuits. - It is an abominable, idolatrous practice in the eyes of Yahweh God - YAHWEH SAID IT IS AN ABOMINATION Repeatedly in the Tenach.
